He is survived by: his children, Johnnie Dean Sowards (Lisa) of St. Paul, MN, Jerry Lee Sowards (Michele) of Rapid City, SD and Renae Jean Redetzke (Randy) of Gillette, WY.; his brother Wayne (Michael Sowards); his grandchildren, Randa Duncan, Rebekah Gulley, Nicole Sowards, Zachary Sowards, Adam Sowards, Brielle Sowards and Chrystofer Sowards; and his great grandchildren, Emitt, Aryn, Tobias, Evelyn, Harrison and Judah.
