It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward L Fitzgerald of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Lead, South Dakota, who passed away on July 25, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Fitzgerald and Lottie Fitzgerald of Rapid City; his sister Carole of Albany, CA; his wife Marilyn; his children, Kathryn of Rapid City and Kevin; his daughter-in-law Robin of West Salem, WI; his daughter Deborah; his son-in-law Dave of Littleton, CO.; his grandchildren, Kevin, Bria, Kate, Deborah and Jordan; his great grandchild Dillon; and his siblings, Dennis, Beverly of Rapid City and Michael of Hawthorne, NV. He was also cherished by his siblings' children and grandchildren.
He earned a master's degree through the National Science Foundation from the University of Minnesota.
