It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Blackledge of Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Blackledge and Gertrude Blackledge (Walters); and his siblings, Janelle, Winfred, Francis and Imogene.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Henry; and his children, Carol Rousey (Roger) of Elberton, Georgia, Rhonda Lipp (Dennis) of Rapid City and Jim Blackledge (Danette) of Treynor, Iowa. He is also survived by six grandkids and five great grandkids.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Rapid Valley Baptist Church (3450 School Dr, Rapid City, SD 57703). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park (4301 Tower Rd, Rapid City, SD 57701).
