It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gwen D. Pequette of Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fred Ewert and Edna Helen Brauer Ewert; and her brother William Fred Ewert, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Arlen Louis Pequette; her sister Gail Lorelle Ewert Zeile; her sister-in-law Wilma Pequette Henderer (Ron); her sibling's children, Adam Arlen Pequette (Kristie) and Nate Douglas Pequette; and her grandchildren, Aria Faith Pequette, Promise Hope Pequette and Shiloh Lael Pequette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Open House Hyatt Place Convention Center (525 St Joseph St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hills View Evangelical Free Church (13776 Sturgis Rd, Piedmont, SD 57769).
