She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Peyton and Lena Peyton (Mack) of Estelline, SD.; her sisters, Marguerite Mose (Ronnie) and Delores Marden (Richard); and her nephew Keith Marden.

She is survived by : her husband Theodore W. Schmidt (Bill) of Rapid City; her children, David Schmidt (Barb) of Rapid City, Sheri Zimmer (Steve) of Rapid City and Scott Schmidt (Julie) of Montgomery, TX; her grandchildren, Waylon Zimmer (Sarah) of Rapid City, Eric Zimmer (Samantha) of Missoula, MT, Lindsey Schmidt of Minneapolis, Christopher Zimmer (Emily Aacker) of Missoula, MT and Taylor Schmidt (Carmen Rivela) of San Antonio, TX.; and her great grandchild Stevie Lynn Zimmer of Missoula, MT. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
