With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Iva Arlene Fernen of Rapid City, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Iva shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Iva farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Osheim and Schmidt Funeral Home (2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home (2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to either Tunnels to Towers or Wounded Warrior Project.
