With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Darwin Root of Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Root and Friedericka Root (Seefeldt); his stepfather Louis Danley; and his siblings, Donald Root, Dorothy Root, Doris Wickersham, Phyllis Twitty and Eunice Huchendorf.

He is survived by: his wife Laurie Root; and his brother Roger Root.
