We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John Grant Olsen of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Philip, South Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olsen and Nora Olsen (Abrahamson); and his siblings, Delores Jean and James. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elaine Howells; his children, Karen (Tim) and Mark (Irene); his grandchildren, Sterling Greni (Sarah), Katie Mueller (Brian) of Susan Greni, MD, Erin (Uel), Greg, Zach Stephenson (Hellen), Amanda Davidson (David), Lexie Brown (Austin), Sonja Murray (Ryan), Allison Filipowicz (Zac) and Brad Widmayer (Adairah); and his nephews, Richard (Gretl), Robert (Jacquie) and Mark Schuster (Paul).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home (2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mt View Cemetery (1901 Mountain View Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702).
