It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Frances Martin of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Lake Poinsett, South Dakota, who passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh E. Carnahan and Alma Frances Carnahan; her husband Bob (Bob); her siblings-in-law, LeRoy, Ed, Marwin, Josephine, Ramona and Betty; her nephews, Douglas and Dennis; and her niece Mary Ann.
She is survived by: her pet Ginger; her children, Shawn Martin (Jill) of Chester, SD, Jay Martin (Cathy) of Madison, SD, Penny Haller (Kevin) of St. Louis and Shari Martin (Mitch) of St Louis, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Miranda (Nate), Bo (Shalace), Kayla (Matt), Ryan (Ashley), Brett (Alexandra), Grace and Mary (Adam); her great grandchildren, Landry, Korbin, Lavin, Audrey, Clay, Lawson, Bauer and Lettie; her sister-in-law Shirley Martin; and her nieces and nephews, Jeff, Steve, Wade, David, Linda, Karen and Tricia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to West Hills Village Foundation of Rapid City, or the First Presbyterian Church of Rapid City.
