It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Eugene Grothe of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Potter, Nebraska, who passed away on July 16, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Grothe and Theresia Grothe (Grothe); his siblings, Barney, Fred, Bob, Hank Grothe, Frances Stolp and Margaret Klinger; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Elizabeth Andersen.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean of Rapid City; his children, Steven Grothe of Hastings, NE, Scott Grothe of Williston, ND, Robert Grothe (Coral) of Sheffield Village, OH and Linda Stepanek (Mark) of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Lynnette Stuart, Justin Grothe (Lyndsay Tyler), Brandon Grothe, Tanya Martin (Joey), Kortney Stepanek, Nicholas Stepanek (Dasha), Hannah Kittrell (Josh) and Destiney Stepanek; his great grandchildren, Allie and Jayden Stuart; his grandchildren, Sullivan, Celia, Eve, June Martin, Mark Stepanek, Remington and Reid Kittrell; and his brother George Grothe.
