He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Peterson and Helen Peterson (Sheaman); his wife Jackie Hastings; and his son Kelsey. He is survived by: his children, Melody Bircher, Klint Peterson (Kelly), Colleen Phillips (Rob) and Nancy Peterson; his siblings, Velma Yarbrough, Ervin Peterson and Ralph Peterson (Clara); his grandchildren, Ryan Bircher, Levi Bircher, James Peterson, Morgan Phillips (Amelia), Michelle Peterson and Carson Phillips; and his great grandchild Kelsey Phillips. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kirk Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1051 E Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church (7308 Wedgewood Dr, Black Hawk, SD 57718).
