She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schar and Cathryn Johnson Schar; her siblings, Elinor Schar Carr and Albert L. Schar; her half-sister Marguerite Schar-Burnie; and also Anne Adell.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Solaas (Sandy) of Clearfield, Curtis Solaas (Holly) of Niceville, Sheila Solaas-McNutt (Ron) of Rapid City, Paula Solaas of Rapid City and Vincent Fryer of Rapid City; and her brother Robert Schar (Naomi) of Shelbyville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kirk Funeral Home (1051 E Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD 57701).
