He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Nielsen and Gladys Nielsen; his wife Merle; his daughter Teri Lin; his siblings, Lois, Joanna, Joy and Dan; and his great grandchild Ella Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Tana Soltesz, Scott Nielsen (Peggy) and Shawn Nielsen (Sandy); his grandchildren, Kyle, Mikayla, Stephanie, Amanda, Shellie, Stacey and Shari; and his great grandchildren, Kameron, Kole, Kysen, Elias, Luca, Amelia, Bailey, Lux, Van, Joe, Serena, Jase and Kady.
