With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Michael Kurek of Rapid City, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Kurek and Helen Kurek (Treacey); his siblings, Kathleen and Paul; his granddaughter Heather; and his wife Ruth.
He is survived by: his sons, Tracey Kurek (Gemma) and Stephen A. Kurek; his close friend Mary Kurek; and his grandchildren, River Myers (Tosheima), Stephen Schmeltzer (Nikki), Kayla Kurek, Stephanie Kurek, Grace Kurek, Erin Witchey and Nathan Cramer (Samantha). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
