He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Chase and Bernice Chase (Peterson); and his siblings, Janet, Betty, Carol, Peggy, Jack and Bobbie.

He is survived by: his wife Else; his daughter Barbara Jean; and his siblings, Gladys and Gerald. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
