He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kowalke and Pauline Kowalke (Luckstein); his brother Allen Kowalke; his wife Kathryn Kowalke (Gross); and his stepdaughters, Barbara Godby, Dixie Tomek and Sherri Martens.
He is survived by: his son Michael; his grandson Michael Tomek; and his stepchildren, Linda Bishop, Henry Martens, Edward Martens and Anna Carter. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
