It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma (Tubandt) Ames of Redfield, South Dakota, born in Spink, South Dakota, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence Tubandt and Olga Tubandt; her husband Robert Ames; her brother Floyd; her son-in-law David Oulman; and her grandson Derek Kieper.

She is survived by : her children, Kim Wright, Kathy Johnson (Dave), Daryl Ames (Paula), Tammy Morgan (Chuck) and Lindy Gatewood (Carlo); and her siblings-in-law, Wendell Ames (Betty) and Dores Tubandt. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hyke Funeral Home (101 E 7th Ave, Redfield, SD 57469). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
