He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Maupin and Eveline Maupin (Hodgkiss); his children, Tracy Dean Maupin and Tanna Maupin; his grandson Taten Maupin; his great grandchildren, Oheyesa and Baby Maupin; and his siblings, Charlie, Leonard, Terry Maupin and Carol Ann O'Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Maupin (Bordeaux); his children, Darlyn Ann, Terri Rose, Garland Dean "Thumper" Jr. and Ted; his grandchildren, Beau, Autumn of Tracie, Bailey, Chantel, Eveline, Aspyn, Briley, Hunter and Teegan; and his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Maupin, Connie Bordeaux, Leeann Bordeaux and Mike O'Neal. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
