She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Forkel and Emma Forkel (Gienger); her husband Leo Jung; her sister Verna Ardella Schumacher; and her son-in-law Ray Studnicka.
She is survived by: her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler, Jessie, Shane and Carly; her children, Larry Jung (Cindy), Linda Studnicka, Lora Jundt (Kim), Linnet Jung (Marty McGuire) and Luanne Kroll (Ron); her grandchildren, Justin Jung (Karen), Daniel Jung (Jennifer), Lucas Jung, Erica Studnicka, Amanda Janish (Ryan), Ryan Jundt (Alexandra Kurilla), Brittany Bergeson (Johnny), Casey Johnston (Steve) and Parker Kroll; her stepgrandsons, Rob Studnicka and Lucas McGuire; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan Jung, Jameson Jung, Eleanor, Samuel, Henry Janish, Greyson, Rollin, AJ Bergeson, Allie, Mica and Noah Johnston; her siblings, Wilbert Forkel, Herbert Forkel (Kathy), Esther Steinmetz and Margie Schmidt (Howard); and her siblings-in-law, Ramona Jung, LeRoy Jung and Ben Jung (Betty). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Schriver Funeral Home (720 6th St, Ipswich, SD 57451). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church - Hosmer (1948 Chapman Ave, Hosmer, SD 57448).
