He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zee and Martha Van Zee (Meyer); his wife Jerry; his brother Robert; his in-laws, Dorcie and Marie Jenkins; his brother-in-law Lester Becker; his nephew-in-law Tim Pullman; his niece Cheryl Pease; and his nephew-in-law Dwane Pease.
He is survived by: his children, Kenette Rogers (Rod) and Dean Van Zee (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Erin Sybesma (Zach), Samantha Long (Keeven), Nathan Van Zee (Samantha Laskarzewski), Miller, Lucas Van Zee (Kyra) of Ellendale, ND and Mitchell Van Zee (Mikayla); his great grandchildren, Sienna Long, Brooklyn Van Zee, Peyton Van Zee, Sadie Van Zee and Jenna Van Zee; his sister Verna Becker; his sisters-in-law, Judy Mullen and Marlene Knudtson; his nieces, Stacey Ferry (Jim), Jody Sandoval, Dianne Shaykett (Steve), Debbie Pullman and Shirlene Smook (Dennis); and his nephew Bruce Knudtson (Marie Bio).
