He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Alsgaard and Dorothy Alsgaard (Schoenfelder); his brother-in-law Lynn Wagner; and his friends, Ron Nelson and Renn Peterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura; his siblings, Evelyn Spicer (Duane), Mary Bauer (Jim), Wayne Alsgaard and Patty Wagner; his close friend Garland Burman; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; two aunts; one uncle; many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Kinzley Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Salem, SD 57058). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
