With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lucy Gemlo (Salem, South Dakota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lucy left this world on July 31, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her former husband James Emery Gemlo; her daughter Marnie Beth Ruliffson; and her grandson Andrew Thomas Stockwell. She is survived by: her children, Brett Thomas Gemlo (Elizabeth) and Jenny Kathleen Rasmussen (Donald); and her grandchildren, Toby (Jennifer), Jesse, Sarah (Jenn), Cameron, Eva, Jenny, Alana and Charlie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sun Prairie Baptist Church (24408 440th Ave, Salem, SD 57058). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
