She was predeceased by: her siblings, Violet, Alma, Rosie, Louis, Lawerance and Jeannie; her parents, Henry Fuerst and Martha Fuerst; her husband Donald Behl; and her grandson Joseph Petrik.

She is survived by: her children, Sherry Petrik (Wayne) of Dell Rapids, Deborah Stassen (Michael) of Sioux Falls, Pam Tonneson (Jim) of Sioux Falls, Frank Behl (Linda) of Yankton, David Behl of Springfield and Amy Berthelson (Rob) of Sioux Falls; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Behl (Lawrence) of Aurora and Judy Fuerst (Louis) of Yankton. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; seven step grandchildren, and forty-nine great-grandchildren and step grandchildren.
