With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Gordon of Scotland, South Dakota, who passed away on January 6, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gordon and Rosalyce Gordon (Kappenman); his siblings, Joseph, Kenny and Colleen Buckstead (Robert); and his sister-in-law Correne Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Jorgensen of Patrick's Catholic Church; his children, Lisa Kappenman (Russ) of Lakeville, MN, Chad Gordon (Jan) of Montrose, Troy Gordon of Montrose, Kim Kappenman (Brian) of Montrose, Ryan Gordon (Rani) of Montrose, Travis Gordon of Grand Forks, ND, James Gordon (Laura) of Mapleton, MN, Tracy Smith of Scotland and Kelly Gordon (Diandra) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Taylor, Maddi, Sydney, Brandi, Stephanie, Xander, Zachary, Tionna, Josie, Jeanie, Katie, Andy, Jerry, Maleah, Gavin, Addison, Nora, Mason, Camden, Avery, Grayson, Anna, Ayla, Emmy and Ben; his great grandchildren, Avianna, Briella, Erica, Ella, Renley, Harrison, Haisley and Ayla; his siblings, Larry Gordon (Laurie), Bob Gordon (Diane), Steve Gordon, Paul Gordon and Cathy Guidarelli (Tom); his sister-in-law Marion Gordon; Nick Smith. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used towards a charity of the family's choice.
