He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Bowden (Herb) and Esther Bowden (Anderson); his wife Terri; his children, Tyler Bowden (Jess), Alana Snyder (John) and Holly Thies (Joey); his brothers, Bob Bowden, Ron Bowden and Douglas Bowden (Mary); and his grandsons, Milo Alan Bowden and Owen Arthur Eugene Snyder.
One highlight was his contribution to the recent renovation of the women's softball field at Augustana University, dubbed Bowden Field.
