Arlene Mary left this world on June 27, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Heinemann and Agnes Heinemann (Moes); her husband Russell McFarlane; and her siblings, Kay, Shirley, Mary, Viviene, Evelyn, Bob and Jerry.
She is survived by: her friends, Alice Blumhoff, Judi, Marilyn and Karen Larson; her children, Terry McFarlane (Deb) of Sioux Falls, SD, Sue King of Sioux Falls, SD, Tom McFarlane (Jodi) of Sioux Falls, SD and Teresa Jones (Al) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Josh McFarlane (Katie), John McFarlane (Kim), Danyel Geier (Wes), Jenna King-DiMaria (Mark), Paul King (Maggie), Kaylee King, Amanda McFarlane-Schuh (Dave), Janice Stroschein (Josh), Sara Prouty (Terry), Casie McFarlane, Lindsey Nelson (Brandon) and Austin Jones; her sisters, Janice Kritzer of Nevada and Ethel Ketelsleger of Oklahoma; and her close friend Mary Dellman. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A wake will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Lambert Catholic Church (1000 S Bahnson Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
