He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vogel and Tena Vogel (Dykstra); and his brother Dennis Vogel. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Baas of Corsica, SD.; his children, Londa O'Loughlen (Bill) of Sioux Falls, Melinda Carlson of Lakeville, MN, Anthony Vogel (Kerri) of Roseville, MN and Rachel Weber (Tim) of Emery, SD.; his grandchildren, Katrina Gunderson, Megan Sniadak, Jenna, Nicole Carlson, Camryn and Allison Vogel; his siblings, Gladys Kunze (Bill), Marwin Vogel (Twyla) and Mary Braaksma (Arnie); and his sister-in-law Muriel Vogel.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
