We are sad to announce that, on April 25, 2026, at the age of 65, Brenda Kay Gunderson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Brenda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Brenda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Peter Soodsma and Helen Soodsma (Heynen) of Hull, IA; her husband Kevin Gunderson of Sioux Falls, SD; her children, Ashley Hoefert (Aaron) of Madison, SD and Andrew Gunderson of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Lauren, Colt and Allie Hoefert; her brothers, Mark Soodsma (Sherri) of Custer, SD and Dan Soodsma (Jennifer) of Rock Valley, IA; and her nephew Jacob Soodsma.
