We announce the death of Carol Lynne Malone in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 61. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Carol’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Jesse Crosby and Matthew Crosby; her father Alfred M. Malone Sr.; and her aunt Catherine Tumminia. She is survived by: her daughter Shannon Joy Crosby; her mother Judith M. Malone; her brother Alfred M. Malone; her uncles, Edward Kordeck (Pamela) and Phillip Tumminia; her aunt Jane Carol Wilson (Sam); her great-aunt Lorraine Wiatr; and her pet Mister. She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eidsness Funeral Home (1617 Orchard Dr, Brookings, SD 57006). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
