With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carole Joyce Bogenrief of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Hanson and Myrtle Hanson (Bunde); her husband Derald; her former husband James; her son Joel; and her brothers, Jim and Terry.
She is survived by: her children, Ryan Roethler (Cheryl), Susan Winklepleck (Mark), Scott Roethler (Kathy) and Julie Natz (Bob); her grandchildren, Brittany (Josh), Aaron (Francis) and Jessica (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Ryder, Ava, Lily, Ben, Cooper, Cole, Elliott and Savannah; her brother Morry; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Hanson and Aileen Hanson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to enjoy something Carole loved — spend time with your family, bake something sweet, or pause to notice a cardinal outside your window — and think of her.
