We announce the death of Carolyn Kading in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 89. Carolyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Hennings and Bernice Hennings (Hach); and her sister Yvonne Kuch. She is survived by: her children, Scott Kading (Lori) of Sioux Falls, SD, Shane Kading (Gladi) of Krugerville, TX and Shawn Costello (Pat) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Kilee Lorenz (Trevor) of Elkhorn, NE, Kelsey Haas (Michael) of Prior Lake, MN, Tarah Fernandes (Billy) of Collinsville, TX, Lucas Kading (Mary) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Seth Kading (Aliyah) of Aledo, TX, JP Costello of Charlotte, NC, Meredith Costello of Seattle, WA and John Costello of Wichita Falls, TX; her great grandchildren, Emme, Olive, Penn Lorenz, Caden, Wrenley Haas and Sawyer Fernandes; and her siblings, Bill Hennings (Barb) of Fairfax, IA, Charlene Holst (Dale) of Knoxville, IA and Brenda O'Neill of Fairfax, IA..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Miller Funeral Home – Downtown Chapel (507 S Main Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (2001 S Cliff Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Country Club of Sioux Falls Starts (3400 W 22nd St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Feeding South Dakota or Meals on Wheels.
