She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Farnsworth and Eileen Farnsworth (Mundt); her husband Floyd Smith; and her son Mark Smith. She is survived by: her daughter Stacy Smith of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister Bonnie Smallbeck (Tom) of Maple Grove, MN; her sibling's children, Courtney Smallbeck of Minneapolis, MN, Brian Smallbeck of Minneapolis, MN, Jeremy Smallbeck of Maple Grove, MN, Brittani Parrett (Brett), Courtney Stang (Mark) and North; and her cousins, Barbara Gravett (Jerry) of Sioux Falls, SD and William Schermerhorn (Lynda) of Atlanta, GA.

“We are so sorry for your loss. After Floyd passed we lost track of where Charla was receiving care for her dementia. I feel like I had a premonition because for the past two weeks I have been thinking of her, and now I found her obit. Floyd and Charla were great friends for many years. We enjoyed many evenings playing cards while the kids slept, and we always enjoyed the Italian dinners Charla made. I know her last year's were difficult, but the Charla we knew and loved will be missed. Jan and Kirk Anderson”
