We announce the death of Daniel Martin Haushild of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 70. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Haushild and Evelyn Haushild; his parents-in-law, Ron and Peggy Sternberg; and his siblings, Tim Haushild and Dena Meyerink.

He is survived by: his wife Ronda Haushild; his children, Heather Knutson (Dan), Austin Haushild (Kiley) and Levi Haushild (Kenzie); his sister Julie Dashay; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Meyerink of Platte, Rick of Platte, Jody Sternberg of Platte, Judy, Stephan Chesley of Luverne, Minnesota, Kerri and Eric Meyer of Parker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Memorials in Dan's name may be made to Ava's House or the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.
