It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Johnson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Wentworth, South Dakota, who passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Darlene leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Darlene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her child Kelly Johnson; her husband Clifford O. Johnson; and also Robert C. Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Maher (Brian) of Palm Desert, California, Jeff Johnson of Springer, Jan Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona and Kurt Johnson (Laura) of Sioux Falls; her sister Doris Limmer of Madison, SD; and her stepchildren, Craig, Cathy (Brett) and Cindy. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
