He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Peterson and Margaret Peterson; his wife Jean Peterson; and his brother Dale Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Jessie Fri, Stacie Plemons (Phillip) and Tyson Anderson (Debra); his siblings, Janet Garner, Marjorie Peterson (Bob Cenci), Jennifer Neumeyer (Brian), Rick Peterson (Tonya), Donnie Peterson (Paula) and Doug Peterson; his grandchildren, David Fri III, Dylan Fri, Haley Werk (Brooks), Phillip Plemons Jr. (Abby Watlington), Jackson Plemons, Rebekah Plemons, Abby Anderson (Nick Foster) and Harrison Anderson (Kendall); his great grandchildren, Judson, Elisabeth, Elliot and Elanor; and his niece Michelle Frederickson (Cary).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the East Side Lutheran Church (1300 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
