He was predeceased by: his parents, Melba Jane Taggart (Larson) and Charles "Roy" Taggart; and his stepfather Dr. Richard Schultz. He is survived by: his daughter Megan Johnson (Derek); his grandchild Montana; his son Cody Taggart (Elizabeth); his grandchild Jett of Harrisburg; his stepmother Charlotte Taggart; and his stepsiblings, Jim Taggart (Staci), Roy Taggart (Alicia), Scott Carpenter, Marcia Leihigh (Phil), Mary Kenner (Scott), Melissa Taggart, Sheri Jennings (Shawn), Mark Schultz, Lee Jackson (A. J.) and Troy Tripp (Dan). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a memorial fund in Dave's memory.
