She was predeceased by: her father Eugene Waack; and her grandparents, Gerhart, Alma Waack, Henry and Milly Schmidt.
She is survived by: her mother Becky Waack; her siblings, Laura Steenhagen (Frank), Michael Waack, Keith Waack (Anna) and Amber Sievert (Brian); her siblings' children, Tierany, Cara, Keely, Luke and Levi; and her pets, Fiona and Joey.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the East Side Baptist Church (6101 E 49th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57110).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to help with the medical expenses, hospice care, and final arrangements incurred during Dawn's courageous battle with cancer.
