It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of DeVona Fae Engebretson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Nesheim and Lucile Nesheim (Hollister); her husband Roger; her son Warren; her brother Larry; and her sister-in-law Mary Nesheim.

She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Holzapfel (Steven), Beth Plahn (James), Gary and Cathy Engebretson (Daniel Rux); and her sister-in-law Dale (Bobi Nesheim). She is also survived by 4 children, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as her brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church building fund.
