It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Don Gaarder of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Gaarder and Alma Gaarder (Hanson); his wife Alta; his son Daryl; his siblings, Harold Gaarder and Donna Underdal (Ted); his grandson Christopher; and his son-in-law Paul Wiessner.

He is survived by: his daughter Sonia; his son-in-law Randy Bury of Sioux Falls; his grandsons, Jacob (Rosie) and Lucas (Cally) of Denver, CO; his children, Karla Wiessner of Forest Lake, MN and Michael; his daughter-in-law Mindy; his grandchild TJ of Marshalltown, IA; his great grandchild Devon Nelson of Davenport, IA; and his sister-in-law Inez Gaarder of Great Falls, MT. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
