With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy N. Overfield of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Nels Thompson and Mabel Thompson; her husband Craig Overfield; her daughter LeAnn Larsen; and her son-in-law Bill Cunningham.

She is survived by : her former life partner Frank Viereck; her children, Shari Cunningham, Darrel Viereck, Allen Viereck (Jane), Patricia Crider (Ron) and Camie Merry (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Duane (Liz), Amanda (Shawn), Kelli (Ben), Bryce, Tom (Shannon), Laura (Michael), Daniel (Megan), Andy (Jenna), Erica (Patrick), Joey (Kassie), Travis (Cassie), Nicole (Kevin) and Brooke (Ryan). She is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Francis House of Sioux Falls.
