It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doug Bleeker of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bleeker and Ruth Bleeker (Walklin); his sister Lois Jean; his grandparents, Howard, Laura Walklin, John and Jenny Bleeker; his in-laws, Alvin Solum, Elenor and Dick Nuttbrock; and his brother-in-law Steve Solum.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mike, Terry Leraas, Jan, Joe Garry and Bob Marquardt; his wife Lynn Bleeker (Solum) of Sioux Falls; his children, Vickie Audunsson of Sioux Falls, Jamie Hovitek (Aaron) of Watertown, SD and Scott Bleeker (Erin) of Brandon, SD; his grandchildren, Madison, Lilja, Tyler, Austin, Skyla, Kora, Preslee and Siena; his great grandchild Brantley; and his siblings, Valere Rubio of Watertown, Deb Jorgenson of Watertown, Bonita VanDykhorst of Watertown, Mony Walburg (Dave) of Watertown, Rodney Bleeker (Laurie) of Watertown, Gordon Bleeker (Kristy) of Scottsdale, AZ and David Bleeker of Clear Lake, SD..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel (1111 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
