He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard "Willy" Hofer and Joanne Hofer (Toby); and his brother Gary Hofer. He is survived by: his wife Leigh; and his siblings, Dick Hofer (Susan), Jack Hofer (Marsha), Patty Gardener and Tom Hofer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a whole host of family and friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home (901 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104).
