With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Duane Carlson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Duane left this world on October 5, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Carlson and Martha Carlson; and his brother Glenn Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Doris Carlson; his children, Deborah Kautzman (Troy) of Mott, ND and Darin Carlson of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Dylan (Alyssa), Ryan (Hannah), Megan (Logan), Luke, Noah and Kourtney (Colbey); and his great grandchildren, Miller, Nora, Amika and Chloe. He is also survived by brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (1600 E 12th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
