With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elaine Waite of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2026 at the age of 76. As Elaine departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Elaine leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Blain and Leila Blain (Schreiber); and her brother Dennis Blain. She is survived by: her children, Todd Brand (Laurie) of Hamel, MN, Ryan Waite of Baltic, SD and Jessi Ganzel (Mike) of Little Canada, MN; and her brothers, James Blain (Judy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Charles Blain (Jean) of Fedora, SD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
