She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Chapman; her parents, Gabriel Berntson and Nettie Berntson (Thorson); and her brothers, Harland Berntson, Merten Berntson and Clifford Berntson.
She is survived by: her children, Jay (Lynelle) of Sioux Falls, SD, Janet Kenny (Stan) of Wichita, KS, Renee Schelkoph (David) of Marshall, MN and David Chapman (Melody) of Minot, ND; and her grandchildren, Kristen Dullum (Shane), Jay IV Chapman (Kimberly), Sarah Sutter (Christopher), Jennifer Sample (Micheal), Erin Latimer (David), Jared Kenny (Anna), Ryan Kenny (Jessica), Daniel Schelkoph (Sarah), Kate Beach (Paul) and Mark Schelkoph. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
