He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his parents, Howard Burchfield and Mary Alice Burchfield; and his sister Dr. Dee Burchfield. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ann Owen McWilliams; his children, Ann McWilliams, Dan Burchfield and Jill Burchfield Couch; his grandchildren, Jackson Ellis (Katie), Riley Couch (Frankie), Grant Ellis, Olivia Arkema (Riley), Easton Couch and Elly Couch; and his great grandchild Lucas Ellis.
