He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harter (Jim) and Mildred Harter (Kampf); his wife Doris Recker; his siblings, Ruth Schwartz, James Harter and William Harter; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Schwartz and Donald Condon.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Harter (Lynn) of Farmington, NM, Beth Honerman (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD and Cindy Crawford (Cary); his grandsons, Seth Honerman (Sarah) of Minot, ND and Jason Honerman of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Robyn Honerman and Roderic Honerman; his pet Hunter; his siblings, Velma Croston, Ralph Harter and Faye Condon; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Harter (William) and LaVonne Harter (James).
