She was predeceased by: her parents, George Huisken and Margret Huisken (Van Buren); her grandson Aaron DeWitt; and her brothers, Rod and Gary.
She is survived by: her husband Wes; her children, Jody DeWitt (Curt), Jay Van Essen and Sheila Swanson (Randy); her grandchildren, Joshua DeWitt, Hannah Warner, Jake Swanson, Betsy Swanson, Isaac Van Essen and Eliza Van Essen; and her brothers, George Huisken (Myrna) of Camarillo, CA and Bob Huisken (Cindy) of Niceville, Florida.. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Sioux Falls Christian School in Jean's memory.
