He is survived by: his uncle Paul; his brother Vern; his children, Dan Bauer (Julie) of Owatonna, MN, Debora Spielman (Charles) of Sioux Falls, SD and Robin Shaw (Marty) of Broomfield, CO; and his siblings, Vernon, Beverly and Rick.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smile Train or St. Joseph's Indian School in Harlyn's honor.
