Though Janet Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Tweten and Viola Tweten (Sannes); and her friend James Sheldon of Sioux Falls, SD. She is survived by: her former husband Gary Soderberg; her husband Charles W. Elrod; her son Jason Soderberg (Kristi Gustafson) of Rapid City; her grandchildren, Alex Soderberg (Katie Goldring) of Winterset, IA and Allison Soderberg of Winterset, IA; and her sister Shirley Moger (Clem) of Dent, MN.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller Southside Chapel (7400 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A prayer was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (7400 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Miller Southside Chapel (7400 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108).
